SUMMARY

We’re looking for a strong Senior Software Engineer adept in Ruby on Rails with a passion for engineering to join our Product & Engineering team to help us scale our platform and deliver cutting edge capabilities to our customers. This person will be an integral part of the team that designs, builds and innovates our product.  The right candidate will collaborate with a phenomenal group of software engineers, product managers and be directly involved with the growth of our product organization to deliver and scale a transformational software product.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience building web applications using Rails
• 5+ years of working with SQL databases -- ideally ANSI-Compliant relational databases like Postgres & RDS
• 5+ years working within a product organization alongside Product Managers, QA, UX, and other cross-functional team resources
• 5+ years of experience using JavaScript & TypeScript on the frontend with modern web technologies and frameworks like React, Stimulus, Vue, Angular, etc.
• 5+ years of experience using HTML, CSS, and styling various kinds of applications for the web.
• 3+ years of experience being able to take wireframes or mockups and convert them into clean and semantic HTML and CSS with a focus on responsive design and performance.
• Experience working with server-side rendered Rails HTML/ERB view templates and page-mounted React
• Experience with using Git for source control using Github.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly
• Experience in product teams running with agile development methodologies and willingness to embrace changing requirements
• A performance mindset that encompasses client-side and server-side performance optimization and techniques
• Experience building scalable frontend architectures that take into consideration HTTP requests, SQL queries and memory management
• Experience with Stripe API, Ruby Pay, Braintree or other payment APIs preferred
• Hands-on experience in Heroku, AWS, or similar cloud infrastructure tools, adept at managing networking, performance optimization, and overall operational facets of a cloud platform
• Experience working with Heroku, AWS, Azure or other cloud infrastructure and an understanding of running a cloud application
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a proactive approach to driving team success and achieving organizational goals. Leadership ambitions are a plus.

SALARY RANGE, BENEFITS, and PERKS
Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 USD​​​​​
